HAVE
YOU
ACCEPTED
CHRIST
AS
YOUR
SAVIOR?

Here's What To Do Next!

1. Worship God Every Day-
Tell God you love Him. Praise the Name of Jesus. Learn to rejoice in Jesus even when things are not going well.

2. Read The Bible Every Day-
We strongly recommend the New King James Bible

3. Pray Every Day-
Prayer is simply talking with God. Your talk with God should go both ways: not only do you talk to God, but listen to what He has to say to you. He will speak to your heart.

4. Go To A Bible Believing Church, Every Time Their Doors Are Open-
We recommend Christian groups such as Zion Fellowship which adhere to all the cardinal truths of the Word of God including God's standard on marriage. Do not just "go to church": participate!

5. Serve God In Some Way-
Find something to do for God, even if it seems "small" or humbling.

6. Tell Others About Jesus-
Talk to others. Pass out Gospel tracts.

7. Be Baptized In Water-
As soon as possible, seek to be baptized by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Water baptism will not save your soul ( accepting Christ as your Savior does that ), but if you truly love Jesus, you will obey this simple command found in the Word of God.

Admittedly, these are not the best pictures. They were taken by a web cam that came with our computer. The pets are actually trying to track a laser light. The images made me think of one of the great hopes of born again Christians: where we go to meet Christ. The pictures seemed too cute to delete and they did tell a story.
Velvet, my son's dogMeet Velvet, my son's dog,Nat, my son's cat.Meet Nat the cat, my son's cat.
Velvet looks like she is in a daze. The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul said that in the last days "perilous times will come." With man's inhumanity to man increasing all the time many can get in a daze, not knowing where to turn.
Some may wonder with times being so bad why doesn't God, if there is a God, do something.
The fact is that God . . .
Velvet looks for the door.Velvet goes to the door.

1. HAS done something,
2. IS doing something and ...
3. WILL do something.

God DID do something by veiling Himself in flesh through the Son, Jesus Christ- The Door. In John 10:9 Jesus declares Himself to be the Door to the sheepfold. Many a good shepherd would place their flock in a secure area to protect them from predators with only a narrow opening to go in and out of the secure area. The good shepherd would lay down in that narrow opening, becoming the "door" to the sheepfold. Above, Velvet illustrates how we are to go to the door. Why? . . .
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. - John 10:11
Jesus came to live without sin, then die, and rise again to rescue us from our sin. By committing everything to Christ and permitting Him to live in us, He removes our sins, cleanses us, lives through us, and grants us eternal life.
What we need to do is to . . .
Nat bows his head as if he is repenting.

Repent!

We need to be truly sorry for our sins, because our sins brought punishment to Christ. We are all born with a sin nature, and cannot stop sinning. However, when we are truly sorry for our sins and ask God to forgive us in the Name of Jesus Christ, He will forgive us and cleanse us from our sins.

Nat licks paw while laser beam shines on it.
We then ask Christ, the Light of the world, to come into our hearts rule and to reign. Here, Nat shows us that we are to paws, I mean, pause for prayer to do that right now. If you do not know how or what to pray, here is a model:

Father, forgive me for my sins and being a sinner. I am truly sorry for my sins and I ask Christ to come into my heart to rule me. Thank You Father for forgiving. I love You and I ask You to help me live for You in Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer and meant it, see the navigation bar to the left for some tips in growing in Christ.

If you have really accepted Christ as your personal Savior, then you are part of the Body of Christ, the Church. That is the second answer I gave: God IS doing something. God chooses to do much of His work through His creatures. Jesus called us the salt of the earth ( MT. 5:13 ). Salt has many uses, one of which is that it is used as preservative.
Both animals look to their left, your right.Look around you. If you are truly saved you may now realize that true born again Christians are used of God as the salt of the earth. Strong Christians promote wholesome values. Imagine what would happen if all the true Christians would disappear. What would happen would be the same thing that would occur if you take the preservative out of something: total corruption!

That brings us to the third answer: God WILL do something. Throughout the Bible it is clearly indicated that God will judge the world. Christ shall soon return. When He does, He will rule and reign on earth for one thousand years ( Rev. 20 ), after which time, there will be a new heavens and earth wherein will dwell righteousness ( Rev. 21 and 22 ).

Indeed, the current troubles of the world will try to "get us down". In one way we should have sorrow for those that do not know Christ in a personal way. We should also have godly sorrow for the calamities that have come, and will come, to all of us.
Velvet looking up.However, we are to keep our spiritual eyes heavenward, and, with the help of Christ Jesus living within us, rejoice! That can be very hard to do in difficult times. If we let Christ live through us, He will help us rejoice.
The Bible indicates that there shall come the time when the Church shall be removed from this earth to meet with Christ ( 1Thess. 4:17, 2 Thess. 2:7) . In short, most Christians refer to this event as the rapture. If we commit our lives to Him now, and stay with Him in love, we shall go to be with Him at that time.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.- Luke 21:28
